Now, I fell into his smooth talking words and was completely sold. “Oh, it’s so simple! We have the BEST Compensation plan! You can make LOADS of money! Oh, and all you have to do is SHARE it with your friends and family; you would be absolutely amazed with the amount of relatives you have! Oh, but they’re FAMILY: They would NEVER betray you and say no. It will all work out, Alex.”
What. A load. Crap.
I don’t think there was a bigger sucker in the whole world. Not only did I get scolded countless times, I also got a few smacks on the head and shrill lectures after sleepless nights. Scam, illegal, and waste reverberated in my head like flies on a carcass. I never felt so stupid and retarded in my life, coming from the fact that I excel in school and am very used to praise.
Even so, I knew that the money was real and attainable. I knew that, if I just kept on calling more people, buying more leads I would get there. Maybe not today, probably not tomorrow or the next day, but one day I knew that the wealth and the income that was desirable and equivalent to what I was worth would come to me.
